    Roles to Fill

    Level 1 Support Worker

      Requirements

      • Have experience working with people with additional needs (life experience included)
      • Currently studying or completed studies in Social Work, Psychology or other Health and Social Sciences
      • Basic understanding of Recovery Oriented Practice
      • Passionate about delivering a person-centred approach to working with people
      • Able to collaborate with the Kelmax team and other stakeholders
      • Be confident you can learn and implement the NDIS code of conduct
      • Adapt your communication style to your audience
      • Ability to regularly practice compassion and consistency with supports

      Tasks include, but are not limited to:

      • Current Australian driver’s licence
      • Working towards a bachelor degree minimum in Case Management, Psychology, Social Work, Community Services or Social sciences (or similar degree)

      • Current police check or willingness to obtain
      • Current working with children check or willingness to obtain

      Level 2 Support/Specialist Support Worker

        Requirements

        In addition to the above:

        • Have experience working with people with mental illness
        • Have experience writing case notes
        • Have experience working as part of a team, preferably a multi-disciplinary team

        Tasks include, but are not limited to:

        • Attending training with therapists
        • Keeping detailed case notes
        • Implementing behaviour support plans
        • Communicating with stakeholders
        • Capacity building with activities of daily living
        • Supporting with organisation, planning, decision making and problem solving
        • Supporting with Housing and Centrelink processes

        Level 3 Support/Case Worker

          Requirements

          In addition to the above:

          • Previous experience working with people with complex needs
          • Completed at least one student placement
          • Have an understanding of: Centrelink; Housing NSW; NDIS; and / or Health NSW
          • Have experience writing detailed case notes
          • Understand supported decision making and risk enablement
          • At least 3rd year of studies

          Tasks include, but are not limited to:

          In addition to the above:

          • Coordinating Centrelink; Housing NSW; NDIS; Health NSW Processes
          • Managing appointments
          • Completing reports and feeding information back to multi-disciplinary team
          • Ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are followed
          • Have a strong understanding of the policies and procedures required for working with the specific client
          • Actively participating in case conferences
          • Coordinating training with therapists
          • Coordinating the implementation of Care Plans
          • Implementing behaviour support plans
          • Keeping detailed case notes
          • Communicating with stakeholders
          • Capacity building with activities of daily living
          • Stepping into the role of support worker when required
          • Providing support work to people with severe mental illness, with very complex needs who require a high level of collaboration and understanding of the risks

          Job Type: Casual (options to work towards permanent contract)

          Salary: $29.00 to $34.00/hour (wage increase possible within 12 months)
